Star Wars #39 by Charles Soule comes out next week on October 18, 2023 and today we get a sneak peek into the issue with a 5-page preview curtesy of Marvel comics.

This issue will continue Lando’s mission to save his friend, Lobot, after he was temporarily infected by the Scourge, causing chaos within the Rebel fleet in Star Wars #37. Their only hope is an ancient “talky” droid that used o be in possessionof the Rebel alliance but had since been sold by Lando (without permission) and is now in the possession of Jabba the Hutt.
The problem? The Scourge has reached Tatooine and Jabba’s Palace is under attack by infected droids. Leading Lando, Lobot, and this ancient droid to the Rancor pit.
That’s where we pick up in Star Wars #39. With our lead characters using the Rancor to eliminate the droid threat in time to return Lobot to his former self.
