Star Wars #39 by Charles Soule and Madibek Musabekov – This issue is a dark droids tie-in that will show Lando, Lobot, and an ancient “talky” droid trapped in a Rancor pit with Scourge infected droids closing in. The goal? Save Lobot before he is lost for good. This plot sounds familiar. Check out the full preview here.
Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi #2 – This is the comic adaptation of Part II from the Obi-Wan Kenobi DsineyPlus show. Not a whole lot of speculation on this one other than the Rahzzah variant that features Vect Nokru, who is played by Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Star Wars: Tales of the Death Star – This is a hardcover book by Cavan Scott and Dark Horse Comics that has a handful of horror stories from the Death Star. I got an early copy and it’s great. Super fun read that has some characters that are potentially important to the larger Star Wars lore.
And FINALLY Star Wars: The High Republic Phase I Omnibus by Cavan Scott and Marvel Comics – Now THIS I’m excited for. It’s no secret that I am a big High Republic fan and I love omnibuses. I’m well overdue for a reread of the Phase I High Republic Marvel comics and I’ve been specifically waiting for this omnibus to come out to do so. I do not typically speculate on collected editions like omnibuses but I could see this becoming a hot commodity down the road as more High Republic stories are worked into shows, games, and movies.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, the best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 10/16/23 this week.
