A new Mace Windu comic mini-series was announced during the Lucasfilm Publishing Panel at New York Comic Con 2024 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. This 4-part series will be written by Marc Bernardin (Star Trek: Picard, Darth Vader Black, White & Red) and illustrated by Georges Jeanty (The Mandalorian, The High Republic) and will officially kick off in February 2024.
Unlike the previous Mace mini-series, Star Wars: Jedi of the Republic – Mace Windu, from 2018, this series from Marvel Comics will tell a story that pre-dates the Clone Wars and will act as a prequel of sorts to Episode I.
