New Star Wars Comics April 24
Star Wars Comics and Books Coming Out April 23-24, 2024

Welcome back! Let’s take a look at all Star Wars comics and books scheduled to be released next week on April 23rd and 24th as well as every Star Wars comic or book with a final order cutoff deadline this upcoming Monday, April 22nd.

A few notes before we get started. I’m writing this under odd circumstances…

#1 – As you can see, the site looks different. It’s not 100% done. It is probably closer to 60%. The guy I’m working with on it made changes live without using a staging site first. Not ideal but it’s ok. I’ll be making changes on the fly. Things may be a bit wonky the next 2 weeks.

#2 – I’m writing this from the hospital. My wife and I are expecting a our 4th child and this morning she went into labor. But labor is not always like you see on TV. Sometimes it takes a bit for things to ramp up. She’s resting for the next hour and I figured I’d kill some time and write this bad boy.

Ok… what’s coming out next week?

NEW: Star Wars: Ahsoka Season One Marvel Comics Variant Checklist

Star Wars: Darth Maul – Black, White, and Red #1 by Benjamin Percy & Stefano Raffaele. The first issue of four for this Sidious/Maul prequel story. Maul is sent to investigate a prison ship that went dark and is radiating dark side energy. This will introduce a new cult who are aware of the Sith’s presence well before the Jedi ever are. Really looking forward to it. Should be a fun piece of lore.

Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures #5 Phase III by Daniel Jose Older & Elisa Romboli – The prison break continues! The Jedi and Republic task force continues their attack on the Nihil prison ship. I’ve read it already. It’s a fun read. The Warden is a weirdo but I kind of like it.

UPDATED: See All Star Wars The High Republic Books and Comics From Phase III Here

Star Wars: Jango Fett #2 by Ethan Sacks and Luke Ross – I LOVED the first issue of this. I thought the writing and the art were both top notch. It’s been a silly week so I have not had a chance to read through a preview or anything. I’m just excited to see how this conflict plays out. Really nice seeing some of the inner workings of the Republic bureaucracy in a different way than we’re used to.

Star Wars by Gillen and Pak Omnibus- The is the omnibus for the 2nd half of the 2015 Marvel Star Wars run. It’s long overdue. People have been asking for this for YEARS now. Better late than never. This collects Star Wars (2015) #38-75, Star Wars Annual (2016) #4 and Star Wars: Empire Ascendant.

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – A Visual Archive from Insight Editions – BTS photos, stories, etc. from Star Wars Return of the Jedi. Where a rag-tag group of Rebels blew 2nd moon-sized planet killer out of the gosh dang sky! I haven’t looked into this one that much but I like nearly everything Insight Editions puts out. I’m also a big fan of Kelly Knox, who is one of the writers.

Star Wars Toys Coming In April 2024 – Just like in March, there are a TON of new Star Wars action figures, statues, backpacks, accessories, etc. set to come out in April. Currently, Entertainment Earth has over 270 different items with an April 2024 ETA. You can check them all out here on Entertainment Earth.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines

For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, the best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 4/22/24 this week.
