Lucasfilm and eBay are putting together a special promotional event to celebrate Star Wars Day 2024 starting today, May 2nd, 2023 through May 4th, 2024. There are a few different parts of this promo.
Curated Collectibles by Billy Lourd
First off, eBay and Lucasfilm have tapped Billy Lourd, actress and Carrie Fisher’s daughter, to curate a lineup of rare Star Wars collectibles that are currently listed on eBay.
The lists are split up into two categories, the Light Side Collection and the Dark Side Collection, and are largely made up of signed cards, comics, and memorabilia by the original trilogy cast and others.

Also, starting on May 2nd, 2024 at 7:30 P.M. ET Lucasfilm will be hosting their very first live shopping event from the Lucasfilm HQ in San Francisco. The live event will be hosted by Krystina Ariel (the High Republic Show) and Anthony Carboni (Star Wars Celebration Host) and will include 25 different flash sales on Star Wars merchandise with free shipping. There will also be contests and giveaways included.
Aside from the live event there will also be 16 other Star Wars related eBay LIVE streams between now and 10:00 P.M. ET on May 4th. The shops included specialize in comics, toys, cards, and other collectibles. It’s basically a rundown of different Star Wars retailers doing Star Wars focused shows.

Will this be worth your time? No clue but I do think the eBay live from Lucasfilm HQ is interesting because there’s a chance they auction off some weird and rare stuff.
I’ll probably hop in for a bit to see for myself.
