Next week’s new comic book day is June 14, 2023, and we’re getting two new comics, a 2nd printing, and a magazine hitting comic shops (or your front porch).
Here’s what Star Wars fans can expect next week:
Star Wars: Darth Vader #35 – Vader teams up with Aphra to try and reclaim his control of the force. The last issue was pretty contained so it’s tough to speculate on any specifics for this issue. The cover A by Leinil Yu is pretty great though.
Star Wars: Sana Starros #5 – The conclusion of the 5-part mini-series by Justina Ireland. I’ve not been shy about saying how much I’ve enjoyed this series. Excited to see how they close it out and if there will be any connective tissue to future storylines.

Star Wars #34 2nd Printing – The first print of this book got real hot real fast with the first appearance of Gretta. The good news is that it appears she’s in store for more stories based on the ending of Star Wars #35. If you were speculating on this book the 1:25 virgin variant by Phil Noto is probably the one to own. This is already sold out at TFAW.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, the best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 6/12/23 this week.
