Welcome to another new comic book day post. Today I want to break down everything you should expect to see released next week on March 20th as well as every Star Wars comic or book with a final order cutoff deadline this upcoming Monday, March 18th. This is my most anticipated week’s of the year so far. Really excited for everything coming out.

Star Wars Insider: Tales of Enlightenment by George Mann – All collection of short stories from Phase II of the High Republic that were originally in Star Wars Insider magazine.

Star Wars: Visions – Takashi Okazaki #1 – A one-shot comic written and illustrated by one of my favorite comic artists, Takashi Okazaki. It’s intended to tell the origin story of the Ronin that was introduced in the first season of Star Wars: Visions on Disney+. You can check out the official preview of the issue and more of my thoughts here.
Star Wars: Jango Fett #1 by Ethan Sacks and Luke Ross – This is the first of a four issue mini-series set prior to the prequel movies about Jango Fett and Aurra Sing. It’s also Ethan Sacks first Star Wars work after his long-running Bounty Hunters series wrapped up earlier this year. Excited to check it out. I love the Derrick Chew variant. He nailed it.

Star Wars: The High Republic #5 Phase III by Cavan Scott, Ario Anindito, and Marika Cresta – Quick turnaround on this one set to release just 2 weeks after issue #4 of the High Republic run from Marvel Comics came out. There COULD be some first appearances in this one as Jedi Master’s Orbalin and Monshi mentioned that there were multiple “Children of the Storm” on planet hunting them.
We’ve only seen one show up prior to this in Brother Lycos in issue #1. And if you’re unsure, Children of the Storm are force users that have been tortured and genetically modified by the Nihil to be more powerful and loyal to Marchion Ro.
Star Wars Legends Epic Collection – The Empire Volume #1 (new printing) – A new printing for an epic collection that collects a bunch of older Dark Horse legends comics including Purge, Darth Vader & the Lost Command, and Dark Times 1-5.
Star Wars: Thrawn Alliances #3 by Timothy Zahn, Jody Houser, Andrea Di Vito, and Pat Olliffe – This one is a big one for me. It should include the Grysk for the first time in any visual media. Up until this point, we only have a vague description of what they look like from the Thrawn and Chiss Ascendancy books and this will be the official unveiling.

Does that mean Star Wars: Thrawn Alliances #3 will be a valuable book in the future? No clue. But it’s a big lore moment and something that Thrawn fans (me included) have been looking forward to for a long time. I love the Grysk and their conflict with Thrawn, Vader, and the Chiss.
Star Wars Toys Coming In March 2024 – It feels like there are an abnormal amount of Star Wars toys, LEGO, statues, pops, etc. coming out this Month. Entertainment Earth shows 302 items set to release in March. I don’t follow that nearly as closely as I do comic books but that feels like a lot. You can check them all out here on Entertainment Earth.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, the best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 3/18/24 this week.
