Hello there and welcome to the weekly new Star Wars comics post where I break down all-new comics & books coming out next week, October 4th, as well as all Star Wars comics with a final order cutoff next Monday, October 2nd!

Star Wars: The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight #1 – The High Republic is back! This book, written by Charles Soule, will be the first comic of Phase III of the High Republic and I could not be more excited. I expect a bunch of first appearances in The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight #1. Including:
- Xo Lahru – First appearance will likely be in Shadows of Starlight #1 though he did have a cameo in Star Wars: The High Republic the Blade #4
- Ry Ki-Sakka – First appearance will be Shadows of Starlight #1 (seen in the preview below)
- Teri Rosason – First appearance will be Shadows of Starlight #1 (seen in the preview below)
- Keaton Murag – First appearance will likely be Shadows of Starlight #1
- Soleil Agra – First appearance will be Shadows of Starlight #1 (seen in the preview below)
- Adampo – First appearance will likely be Shadows of Starlight #1
- Ada-Li Caro – First appearance will be Shadows of Starlight #1 (seen in the preview below)
Cover A by Phil Noto is straight-up beautiful. There will also be a Takashi Okazaki NYCC 2023 Exclusive variant sold by The Comic Corner. The art has not been released publicly but I anticipate that happening this weekend. It’s one to keep an eye on.
Star Wars: Darth Vader #39 by Greg Pak – In this one Darth Vader comes across a Scourge infected Spider Droid from the Clone Wars. I don’t have much insight into this one other than… c’mon… it’s Darth Vader. He’s going to wreck this thing.
Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #39 by Ethan Sacks – Tarr Kligson has corrupted Valance even more than he already was. Based on the description there will be a battle between the Droid World droids and T’onga’s crew and during that battle… we’ll finally get to see why Tarr Kligson is the way that he is. It will involve Ajax Sigma in some way I’m sure.
Star Wars Insider #221 will go into motherhood in the Star Wars galaxy, bts details from Star Wars Celebration, and will include a new High Republic short story.
There’s also a giant sticker book called, Star Wars: Galaxy of Stickers – The Dark Side coming out. I honestly didn’t know this existed until today. Details on that are below.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, the best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 10/2/23 this week.
