A new one-shot comic by Daniel Jose Older, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Max Rebo #1 comes out this Wednesday, August 09, 2023! Today I wanted to take a look at the official preview of the issue from Marvel Comics!
The most interesting thing about the preview is that it takes place DURING Return of the Jedi as we see Jabba feed his Twilek slave Oola to his Rancor and Leia show up disguised as Boushh with Chewie to initiate the rescue of Han Solo.

As much as I love Star Wars comics I do think we’ve sat in the period between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi for far too long. I’m ready to move on to the post ROTJ New Republic Era.
