Hello there everywookiee! The other day I noticed that Star Wars: High Republic Adventures – Quest of the Jedi #1 by Claudia Gray (Lost Stars, Bloodline, The Fallen Star) and Dark Horse Comics had been pushed back to April 5th, 2023. A week later than the most recent release date of March 29th, 2023.
I have been keeping a close eye on it because I am excited to see what the cover B variant art from Fico Ossio will look like. Up until this point Dark Horse had only been offering a Cover A for the High Republic Adventure comics and I was happy with their choice to offer a variant for this.
But then someone in the Department of Comics discord server mentioned that the cover B may have been canceled as it was not showing as being released on April 5th like the main cover was. I did some digging and noticed that the variant was listed to release a week later on April 12th. This was odd and I figured there was a mistake.

So this morning I reached out to Dark Horse to get some clarity and they got back to me right away to clarify. At the moment both variants of Star Wars: High Republic Adventures – Quest of the Jedi #1 will hit comic shops on April 12th, 2023.
UPDATE: It was delayed again and now hits stores on Wednesday April 26th, 2023.
While I don’t love the delay I did want to give a shoutout to Dark Horse for getting back to me right away. You guys rule and I appreciate it.
I am really looking forward to this comic as, on the surface, it feels disconnected from the other stories we’ve been getting in phase II of the High Republic while at the same time sharing a name for the entire phase. Should be a fun one.
