Star Wars: The High Republic – The Blade #2 2nd Print Includes First Cover of General Viess

Now this is how you do a 2nd print cover! There has been a ton of hype around Star Wars: The High Republic – The Blade #2 due to the introduction of a new character named General Viess on the final page of the comic.

Author Charles Soule has not been shy when talking about this character in interviews. At one point in an interview on The High Republic Show the host, Krystina Arielle, asked a panel of authors (including Soule) to tell the audience what characters of Phase II of the High Republic that they should be paying close attention to moving forward.

Charles Soule’s comment around the 17:45 minute mark was particularly interesting as it relates to his High Republic – The Blade comic miniseries about Jedi Master Porter Engle.

The 2nd print variant of Star Wars: The High Republic – The Blade #2 by artist Jethro Morales repurposes Viess’ introduction page as the cover art. And it looks pretty amazing. This is their first cover appearance.

You can pre-order this variant here on TFAW for below cover price through Monday.

The 2nd print variant hits stores on March 15, 2023 and the final order cutoff for retailers is this Monday, February 13, 2023.
