New comic book day next week is February 15, 2023 and we are getting two new Star Wars comics in Star Wars: #31 and Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #31.
Star Wars #31 will continue to tell the story of Luke, Leia, Holdo, Lando, and Chewie in Nihil no-space after introducing the new community that was trapped there after the fall of the Nihil. The leader of that community was introduced in Star Wars #30 so I’m sure we will get their first “full appearance” in this issue. Just no clue if they will be significant beyond this arc.
Bounty Hunters #31 is an interesting one. We’ve been getting teased over and over again that Iden Versio and Inferno Squad will be showing up as a core part of the story. They’ve been mentioned in Star Wars: Hidden Empire #1 and then again in Star Wars: Revelations #1 but have yet to be a big part of the story.
It is worth noting though that after final order cutoff Marvel added new text to the cover that says “The Coming Inferno” that could signify that Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #31 could be a big issue for them.
I do know with 100% certainty that they will show up in the comic. But will it be enough to be considered a “full appearance?” Or will that designation go to Bounty Hunters #32?
We’ll have to wait and see what the market decides there. Regardless of “cameo appearance” vs “full appearance” it’s important to collect what you like because in terms of future value… I have no idea on this one.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 2/13/23 this week.
