May The Fourth 2022 is upon us! Otherwise known as “Star Wars Day”, this punny little holiday is packed with news and announcements. Now, what started out as an internet meme with fans saying “May the Fourth Be With You” has turned into a juggernaut of a media and marketing frenzy.
The optimist in me says this is a day for celebrating our shared fandom and maybe getting some cool news and deals on some collectibles! The pessimist in me says this is an internet meme co-opted by a corporation to drum up marketing and sale for licensees. Oh well.
