The publisher solicits for all of the Star Wars comics hitting stores in July 2023 (and one for August) are out and as usual there’s a ton to look forward to!
Here’s my thoughts at first glance.
- Interesting that the upcoming Charles Soule crossover series Dark Droids was included since it doesnt come out until August. It’s clear Marvel is going to hype this up like crazy. They started seeding it last fall with Star Wars: Revelations.
- The publisher summary for Dark Droids also confirms that the series will be about Ajax Sigma who was first introduced in the above mentioned Star Wars revelations one-shot.
- The Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Rebellion #1 One-Shot will be a story featuring Shara Bey and Kes Dameron, Poe’s parents.
- The legends species, The Starweird, will officially be canon in July’s Doctor Aphra #34
- Star Wars Bounty Hunters is getting a fresh set of homage variants from the og Marvel Star Wars run. I’m a sucker for retro variants.
