Hello there everywookiee! I return from my flu hibernation with news! Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Jabba’s Palace #1 is getting a 2nd print variant that includes a 1:25 retailer incentive variant.
The open order variant is by Todd Nauck and features Jabba sitting on his thrown surrounded by the usual suspects.
The 1:25 is the virgin variant of the stunning Alex Maleev of the first print 1:25 featuring Boba Fett.
Is this worth getting? Maybe…
I touched on this a few days back but there are a few interesting first appearances in this comic that I could certainly see playing a larger part in future stories. Most specifically Bane Malar. Read that post here.
I think the 1:25 is a pretty good speculation pick honestly. Star Wars 2nd print 1:25s always seem to do well in the aftermarket. So if you are looking for future value picks… it’s a decent bet. Not guaranteeing it goes up but based on previous examples, you could do worse. For personal collection? That’s totally up to you.
The 2nd print for Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Jabba’s Place #1 hits stores on May 10, 2023. FOC is April 10, 2023.
