Hello there my wookiee brothers and sisters! Let’s take a look at all of the New Star Wars comics hitting the shelves on Wednesday, November 16th and Star Wars comics with a Final Order Cutoff deadline this upcoming Monday, November 14th, 2022.
And since it’s a more fun topic, let’s start with new comics we can actually read next week; Star Wars Hidden Empire #1, Han Solo and Chewbacca #7, and Doctor Aphra #26.
Let’s start with my personal favorite of the group. Star Wars Hidden Empire #1. Earlier today I posted the exclusive preview of this issue but since that time I’ve managed to get my hands on an early copy. Hidden Empire #1 is one of my favorite comics of the year. The story Charles Soule sets up in the first of five issues makes this a potential classic.
Very fun. Well written. And expands Star Wars lore. I’ll have more details (and spoilers) soon but just know that I think it’s going to be a well-received issue.
Star Wars Doctor Aphra #26 also comes out next week and while I’m not sure I’d consider it a “key” issue, it’s for sure worth a spot in your collection. The “Revelations” variant by Taurin Clarke is a full-on stunner too.
And Han Solo and Chewbacca #7 is another very well-written (and illustrated issue… Chewie looks insane good in it) issue that sets up the final arc of the 10-issue run to tie in closely to the cantina scenes from A New Hope. Also there’s something about the Cover B from Pasqual Ferry that speaks to me. It’s just so odd and I love it.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 11/14/22 this week.
