Marvel have released solicitations for their February 2022 slate of Star Wars comics and they are a doozy! Check out my summary of thoughts then the official solicits below!
High Republic #14 and 15: So, the obvious spoiler is that the Outer Rim Republic space station, Starlight Beacon is going down in a plume of flames! What is yet to be revealed is how we get there! “[P]hase one of Star Wars: The High Republic enters its cataclysmic final wave of stories”! We continue to get beautiful covers from Phil Noto, including the issue #15 which is a self-homage to issue #1!

Eye of the Storm #2: Charles Soule continues his character study of High Republic big bad, Marchion Ro! Marchion Ro’s first cameo was in High Republic Adventures #1 (IDW), his first cover appearance was a tie between High Republic #3 (Marvel) Mayhew variant, and Sliney variant, and his first full appearance was High Republic Adventures #2 (IDW).
Trail of Shadows #5: The solicit here promises answers as to what exactly the Great Leveler is! First appearing in Cavan Scott’s novel, The Rising Storm, we got our first glimpse of the Great Leveler in comics in High Republic #10 (Marvel), which also incidentally is Lourna Dee’s first full comic appearance.
Halcyon Legacy #2: Will you just check out that awesome E.M. Gist cover A!? Fans of Aurra Sing, rejoice, the bounty hunters is back for a tale in this anthology tying in to Disney’s new immersive hotel experience. Aurra Sing first appeared in comics in Star Wars #7 (Dark Horse 1998), and made her first comic cover appearance on Bounty Hunters Aurra Sing (Dark Horse).
Star Wars #21: We revisit Kes Dameron’s long lost love, Shara Bey! She’s been stowing away on an Imperial Star Destroyer, but it seems enemies are closing in! Poe Dameron’s parents, Shara Bey and Kes Dameron, first appears in Shattered Empire #1!
Crimson Reign #2: We get more Ochi and Deathstick action from Charles Soule! Deathstick made her first comic cameo in Bounty Hunters #13, and made her first full appearance and cover appearance in comics in Bounty Hunters #14.
Darth Vader # 20: Finally, Sabe, Padme Naberrie’s body double, returns in Star Wars #20 with a gorgeous Stegman cover! Sabe first appeared in comics in the Episode I Phantom Menace Trade Paperback.
