Star Wars 42 (2020) by Charles Soule and Steven Cummings comes out this Wednesday on January 10th, 2024 and today we get a sneak peek into the issue with a 5-page preview from Marvel Comics!

Now that the Dark Droids crossover event is over we resume regularly scheduled programming for the main line Star Wars run by Marvel Comics. This means we are getting back to Luke Skywalker and Gretta researching Kyber crystals to learn how to “heal” the bled red crystal that Luke received from Dr. Cuata last summer.
And this leads to Luke returning to the palace of a mysterious Sith lord. Not physically of course… but mentally through the force and connecting with the crystal. Exactly what is going on there is unclear but I’m really hoping we can nail down when this Sith existed on the timeline.
Also Stephen Cummings has confirmed that the Sith is actually a man and he was instructed to “make the him look a little more manly.” Not that that matters at all. Just wanted to mention it.
Both Cover A and the 1:25 variant are the first cover appearances of this unnamed Sith. Chances are we get their name this issue as well.
