Hasbro Star Wars Fan First Friday 1/29/2021: Lucasfilm 50th Anniversary, Black Series and The Vintage Collection

by DrunkWooky

Hasbro Pulse’s first Star Wars Fan First Friday of 2021 just finished over on Youtube and we’ve got all the reveals below!

Non-Exclusive Clone Wars Vintage Collection Reveals

Ahsoka and Darth Maul will be main line releases available through most major brick and mortar and online retailers. Available for pre-order now:

Non-Exclusive Bad Batch Black Series Figures

Hasbro showed off the packaging for previously revealed Black Series Crosshair and Hunter from the Bad Batch line. They also revealed the Black Series Elite Squad Trooper which will be available for pre-order later today through Entertainment Earth, Hasbro Pulse, and BBTS

Lucasfilm 50th Kenner Deco Amazon Exclusive Black Series Figures

Next. they went over the Amazon Exclusive Kenner Deco 6 Inch Black Series figures being released for the Lucasfilm Studios 50th Anniversary initiative. These were already announced by IGN last night and put up for pre-order over at Amazon. Those include Obi Wan, Greedo, and the Jawa. You can check those out over here.

Those Amazon Exclusives are available for pre-order now. Hasbro revealed certain details about the figures. Obi Wan, for instance, is the first human to be represented in the Kenner deco style in the Black Series line. As such, they had to decide whether to use the photoreal face-printing technology on him and decided to go that direction. Obi Wan’s lightsaber is opaque, however, to match the Kenner style. Greedo is being released without a vest true to the original Kenner release.

Lucasfilm 50th Wal Mart Exclusive Vintage Collection Figures

Next, Hasbro brought us a segment of Vintage Collection reveals for Wal Mart exclusive figures. The AT-ST Driver has only previously been released with vehicles and multi-packs and this is the first time he is presented on a cardback.

Paploo has updated wash deco to bring out the details of his fur. Leia got all new photo printed face deco application, a newly sculpted helmet, new camo pattern cloak, and new deco on the helmet.

No pre-orders for these today, but they will be on Wal Mart shelves later this year.

Lucasfilm 50th Best Buy Exclusive Phantom Menace Card Back Black Series Figures

These Best Buy exclusive match last year’s Celebration Exclusive Obi Wan and Darth Maul with their Phantom Menace foil cardback packaging. The next four figures are the Battle Droid, Mace Windu, Jar Jar Binks, and Qui Gon Jinn. Jar Jar is basically the deluxe release already available, but with the special edition cardback and no energy shield. Qui Gon has an all new head sculpt to accept the face printing technology.

These will be available for pre-order from Best Buy at 1PM EST today.
