Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #38 by Ethan Sacks and David Tinto – Somehow Grievous has returned! Valance is in the clutches of Tarr Kligson and is at even more risk of losing whatever is left of his mind. Apparently Grievous plays a role in the story. How? Not sure yet but I’d imagine it’s through flashbacks. Should provide some fun lore. The E.M. Gist Cad Bane cover is a work of art and the Barends 1:25 is too bad ass.
Star Wars: Dark Droids – D-Squad #1 by Marc Guggenheim, Salva Espin and David Messina – I wrote about this comic in the preview post I posted yesterday. Check that out here.
The big thing to know is that this issue includes a 10 page bonus story called “The Book of Ajax” that looks like it will feature some new High Republic Jedi as part of flashbacks about Ajax Sigma’s past. The preview had 4 Jedi in it that I did not recognize. Also the 1:50 variant is the first cover app of Ajax Sigma.
Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – The Nameless Terror TPB by George Mann – Collects all four issues of the mini-series.
Star Wars: Bounty Hunters TPB Vol 6 – Bedlam on Bestine by Ethan Sacks – this trade paperback collects Bounty Hunters #29-34

Star Wars comics with an FOC deadline this upcoming Monday, August 28th, are:
- Star Wars: #39 – Continues the Lando sequel story from Charles Soule. Clone wars variant is the first cover app of Rotta the Hutt.
- Star Wars: Obi Wan Kenobi #2 – First appearance of a bunch of smaller characters. Including Haja Estree!
- Star Wars: Dark Droids #2 2nd print variant – Not sure this was needed but if you collect later printings then now is the time to order.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, the best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 9/18/23 this week.
