Star Wars Hyperspace Stories #10 will be the first appearance of Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, and Crosshair, the original members of the The Bad Batch. This stories appears to be before Echo joined the squad and predates Order 66 so we won’t likely see Omega. But it’s still a big key because, even though we don’t know their full significance to the overall story just yet, The Bad Batch members are becoming big characters in Star Wars lore.
We’re also likely to get the first appearance of Tofen Vane in Star Wars canon. “Tofen’s Raiders” are referenced in the preview hints at this. Tofen was a former pod racing rival of Anakin who joins the confederacy after his father dies due to, in his eyes, the Republic’s aggression. Tofen Vane first appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars #10 back in November, 2009. I don’t think this is a big spec wise but it’s still fun.
UPDATED: Star Wars Dark Droids Release Dates and Variant Checklist
For this issue I am a big fan of the cover B variant by Lucas Maragon. It will be ordered less than the cover A and says “The Bad Batch” at the bottom in huge letters.
