Man, Star Wars Visions is pretty cool! Ok, I only had time to watch The Duel last night, but I’m excited to bite into the rest of the episodes!
So, what’s coming out next week and what is on final order cut off this weekend in the world of Star Wars comics!? Let’s take a look at September 29, 2021 releases from Marvel and IDW!
The War of the Bounty Hunters rages on as Vader hunts Luke while Leia, Lando, and Chewie plot a daring rescue of Han in Star Wars #17! Star Wars Adventures #10 will be Zak and Tash Arranda’s first canon appearance since Disney’s takeover of the franchise, their first comic appearance, and the Stefano Simeone cover B will also be their first cover appearance. Finally, the spooky tales of Vader’s castle on Mustafar continue their final arc in Ghosts of Vader’s Castle #2!

Star Wars Adventures #10 will be Zak and Tash Arranda’s first canon appearance since Disney’s takeover of the franchise, their first comic appearance, and the Stefano Simeone cover B will also be their first cover appearance. We wrote about this back in April, but 90s kids will remember them as the stars of the Galaxy of Fear series of Young Adult novels with awesome holographic covers. I know I do. Now, remember that Cover A is also appealing because it connects with Cover A for issue #9. So if you picked that cover A up, you may want to complete the connected image with #10:
Well, looking at the upcoming Star Wars Adventures solicitations from IDW, I noticed something interesting about issue #10:
Zak and Tash Arranda sneak off to investigate a creepy cave, where they find a strange artifact-and a mysterious cult waiting for them!
Galaxy of Fear was sort of like Goosebumps by R.L. Stine for Star Wars. Zak and Tash basically run around the galaxy uncovering fear-inducing secrets, which would be a great line of stories to start in Star Wars Adventures first of all, and would make a great series streaming, if you ask me. X-Files in space anybody?
Star Wars Adventures Ghosts of Vader’s Castle #2

Marvel have recently moved their final order cut off dates back to Sunday from Monday. This week’s is 9/26/2021. Seeing as many local comic shops and even some of the larger retailers very well might finalize orders on the Friday before rather than do it over the weekend, this functionally makes Marvel’s new FOC Friday 9/24/2021. IDW’s remains Monday 9/27/2021. Things just got more complicated for those keeping track of these things. Hooray!
