There’s not a whole lot to go off of from the preview. The most interesting part to me is that floating creature who maul encounters on the abandon prison ship. It’s head is just a giant brain with a few holes in it and it’s lower half is sprawling tentacles that rest a few inches off the floor.
The description makes it sound like this creature is called the Final Occultation and that itis powerful in the dark side of the force.
It looks similar to a Celegian. They were first introduced in Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi – The Golden Age of the Sith but I’m nearly certain they have no canon appearances. They don’t look exactly the same but Celegian are floating brains with telekinetic powers, so there are similarities.
Whatever it is, Celegian or not, it has an impact on Maul’s mental state as you can see him holding his head while the air around him vibrates, indicating force use.

Only one exclusive variant for this issue so far. I’d expect a few more. That being said I don’t have any inside info on that.
