I’ve been teasing about a few exclusives for Star Wars: The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight for a few weeks now. But today, in this post, I can finally share why I was so excited about Charles Soule’s upcoming mini-series.
There will be a set of variants for all 4 issues in the series with art by Takashi Okazaki that will be sold exclusively by The Comic Corner.
The first, featuring Yoda, will be an NYCC 2023 exclusive that will also include a small online pre-sale. The others are more of your traditional retailer exclusive comic and be sold in full online.
Each issue will have 3 separate variants:
- Trade dress variant- LTD to 1,500
- Virgin variant – LTD to 800
- Virgin sketch variant – LTD to 700

In short, I expect a bunch of first appearances from significant characters in Star Wars: The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight #1. It’s got key written all over it. PLUS the cover art for the Okazaki variants is straight up beautiful.

The pre-sale for Star Wars: The High Republic Shadows of Starlight Okazaki exclusives will go live at 8pm ET on October 4th, 2023. The drop will be very limited as most copies will be saved for NYCC 2023.
There will be two buying options:
- All three variants for Shadows of Starlight #1 (Yoda) for $80
- All 12 variants for all 4 issues of Shadows of Starlight for $250
It will show as “sold out” until 8pm ET on 10/4.
