UPDATE 2/2/2021: Star Wars High Republic Adventures #1 has been released from IDW and it appears to show Marchion Ro on the last page. I admit when I’m wrong and this is an instance. I did say he could show up earlier, and he did. Check out my write up of High Republic Adventures #1 first appearances over here! So far, issue #3 appears to be his first cover appearance.
IDW have released their solicitations for April 2021 and their licensed Star Wars comics are, of course, a part of that.
Of interest to me when reviewing these solicits was the cover art for Star Wars High Republic Adventures #3 by Harvey Tolibao. It features a masked character whose swirling face plate seems to match the description of Marchion Ro, Eye of the Nihil from Charles Soule’s High Republic, The Light of the Jedi. While not necessarily the leader of the Nihil, Marchion is the one who provides them the “Paths” through which they travel the galaxy, an alternate to hyperspace.
Of course, we have Star Wars High Republic #2 and #3 from Marvel, plus Star Wars High Republic Adventures #1 and #2 ahead of this issue where Ro may appear, but heads up for a potential first appearance or first cover appearance with Adventures #3.
