Oh hey there! Welcome to another new comic book day post! Let’s take a look at all Star Wars comics and books scheduled to be released next week on April 9th and 10th as well as every Star Wars comic or book with a final order cutoff deadline this upcoming Monday, April 8th.

NEW: Star Wars: Ahsoka Season One Marvel Comics Variant Checklist
Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season Two Part Two TPB by Rodney Barnes, Steven Cummings, and Georges Jeanty. This is the trade paperback of the 2nd half of The Mandalorian Season Two comic adaptation that collects issues 5-8.
Star Wars: The High Republic #6 by Cavan Scott, James Towe and Laura Braga – Tey Sirrek is back! Tey is a Sephi who was a member of the Guardians of the Whills in Phase II of the High Republic. He’s back and still helping the Jedi uncover the mysteries of the Nameless. This issue has the potential to include some first appearances as Cavan has teased the Children of the Storm for multiple issues now.
Since the publisher description mentions, “a rogue Forcewielder terrorizes the streets of an ancient moon”, it feels like this could be the issue. There’s also a chance we get flashbacks from Phase II. Hoping to see Marda Ro get her first comic appearance.

Star Wars: Darth Vader #45 by Greg Pak and Adam Gorham – Darth Vader, the M.A.R. Corps, and the Imperial Schism are all teaming up to take down Sidious. This series has gotten weird but I have to say that I like the current arc a lot more than the Sabe stuff. It’s very comic book-y with cyborgs, mechs, and weird characters coming together to take down the most powerful being in the galaxy. The Master and Apprentice variant by Giuseppe Camuncoli is the first cover appearance of Shin Hati and Baylan Skoll from the Ahsoka Disney+ show.
Star Wars: Thrawn Alliances #4 by Timothy Zahn and Andrea Di Vito – The final issue of the 4-part comic adaptation of Zahn’s Thrawn Alliances novel. There is so much left to cover from the book that I have no idea how they’re going to fit it all in the 32 pages of this issue. One interesting thing to note is that this is the first of the 4 issues where Zahn is the sole writer. In the first three issues he tag-teamed the writing duties with Jody Houser. I think we’ll be getting a lot more of the Grysk that first appeared in Thrawn Alliances #3.
I love every single cover for this comic. Cover A bangs and the variants are all fantastic. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the 1:25 E.M. Gist variant. Dude is incredible.

Star Wars: Darth Vader Vol. 8 – Dark Droids TPB by Greg Pak and Raffaele Ienco – This is the 8th trade paperback volume from the Star Wars: Darth Vader run that started in 2020. It collects all of the Dark Droids crossover issues, Star Wars: Darth Vader #37-41.
Star Wars Toys Coming In April 2024 – Just like in March, there are a TON of new Star Wars action figures, statues, backpacks, accessories, etc. set to come out in April. Currently, Entertainment Earth has over 270 different items with an April 2024 ETA. You can check them all out here on Entertainment Earth.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, the best bet is to order it before FOC.
