Quick update for prequel fans. In October, Dark Horse Comics announced a series of nine original graphic novels under that “Hyperspace Stories” line that would all be focused on a single character from the Skywalker Saga.
The first was Star Wars Hyperspace Stories – Qui-Gon by George Mann, Andrea Mutti, and Gigi Baldassini and it was originally set to release over this summer. But that appears to have changed. In the most recent Dark Horse Comics solicitations this OGN has a new release date of October 22, 2024 – a delay of nearly 4 months.
It’s not the end of the world but it’s still not ideal as we’ve seen delay after delay from Dark Horse Comics on their all-ages Star Wars comics, books, and graphic novels.
And look, I’m a legit fan of Dark Horse and the content they put out, but this needs to be cleaned up.
That being said I’m still really looking forward to Star Wars Hyperspace Stories Qui-Gon as it connects the prequel era with the High Republic. The story will involve Qui-Gon Jinn running around Jedha trying to solve a mystery that relates to the Brothers of the 9th Door, a Dark Side cult introduced in the Star Wars: The High Republic – Battle of Jedha audio drama.

It’s going to be a while for all of these to be released.
Hopefully it’ll be worth the wait.
