Star Wars #43 by Charles Soule and Steven Cummings – A Sith in the Minds Eye! This will continue Luke Skywalker’s odd encounter with an ancient Sith during his fever dream induced by trying to connect with / heal a red Kyber crystal. Luke is currently trapped in his own mind, thrown into a prison cell, in some deep memory from the former Sith owner of the crystal. I’m a big fan of this storyline and, as long as Charles is on this arc, it’s the Star Wars comic storyline I’m most invested in.
The next step is for us to finally find out WHO this Sith is and what era they are from. I’m relatively confident that we’ll learn his name before it’s all said and done but I’m far less sure that we’ll learn the era. Authors don’t like backing themselves into a corner and leaving the timing vague makes it more likely that this Sith can show up in future stories.
I like the 1:25 incentive variant for this one. Annie Wu’s art is hit or miss for a lot of folks but it’s the first cover appearance of Gretta. That may or may not matter long term but it does mean it has more potential than the other variants.

The Art of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor by Dark Horse Comics – This is the art book for last year’s hit game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor featuring Cal Kestis and the Mantis crew. I got an advanced review copy of this book and, if you like art books, it’s a pretty fun book to flip through. I won’t go into all of the details here but you can read my full review of The Art of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on this post.
Star Wars Insider Presents – The Mandalorian Collection by Titan Comics – This is a reference book from the same people who put together each issue of Star Wars Insider Magazine that takes a look at the history of Mandalorian culture from both a lore perspective and a real life perspective. I have not read it and I don’t know much more about it, honestly.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, the best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 2/19/24 this week.
