Next week Darth Vader #29 hits the shelves at all good comic stores and StarWars.com has released the official 4 page preview of the issue!
The preview doesn’t give a whole lot away but we do know that Ochi is working with the other handmaidens of Padme Amidala to remove Sabe from Emperor Palpatine’s service.
Ochi wants her removed from the picture as he see’s Sabe as a threat while the other handmaidens, including Dorme, fear she’s going to fall to the dark side and want to retrieve her before she’s too far gone.
Also based on the publisher’s description of the issue we know that this issue will include the first appearance of Jul Tambor. Jul is a Skakoan pirate who is related to the former leader of the Techno Union from the Clone Wars, Wat Tambor. We know that Jul will be involved in at least the next three issues because the Cover of Darth Vader #31 depict Vader and Jul squaring off with one another.
If you were going to speculate on the appearance of Jul Tambor I would suggest considering the Taurin Clarke “Revelations” Variant as it has Jul on the cover. That variant is Jul Tambor’s first cover appearance. This variant is sold out at TFAW at the moment but you can still get it at cover on eBay.
