But even though today is supposed to be full of turkey, stuffing, football, and arguing about politics… the comic world takes no breaks. Let’s take a look at all of the New Star Wars stuff hitting the shelves on Wednesday, November 30th and Star Wars comics with a Final Order Cutoff deadline this upcoming Monday, November 28st, 2022.
Darth Vader #29 will be the first appearance of Jul Tambor. Jul is related to Wat Tambor from the clone wars. Wat lead the Techno Union during the The Clone Wars and they created all of the battle droids that the Seperatists used whole fighting the Galactic Republic. . Jul Tambor is a pirate who will play a prominent role in at elast the next three issues because we see him on the cover of Star Wars: Darth Vader 31 that comes out in February.
High Republic Adventures #1 by Daniel Jose Older and Dark Horse Comics is the first of 8 issues for this run. We will be learning the back story of Sav Malagan.
We first see Sav in Star Wars High Republic Adventures #8 from phase I. She is also on of the main characters of the manga Star Wars High Republic Edge of Ballance II.
Based on the preview that Dark Horse provided there will be plenty of first appearances in this issue AND we get a young Dexter Jettster.
From a speculation standpoint I personally really like High Republic Adventures books because, since they are the “all ages” run, they usually have a smaller print run.
There are also a few interesting comics with a final order cutoff for Monday, November 28th.
The first I want to mention is the 2nd printing of Star Wars Hidden Empire #1. Since this issue was highly anticipated and had the first cameo appearances of Iden Version , Inferno Squad and Prince Xizor it sold out quickly at comic shops across the world. Although somehow the 1:25 variant by one of my favorite artists, David Lopez, is still available on TFAW. The interesting part about this 2nd print is that there is a 1:25 retailer incentive ratio variant included. It’s the sketch version of the Arthur Adams 1:50 variant from the first printing.
Next is High Republic #4 from Cavan Scott and MArvel. Cover A has the first appearances of The Herald and Yana Ro. Yana is a distant relative of Marchion Ro and the Herald is essentially 2nd in command inside of the Path of the Open Hand. Unless they show up in High Republic #3 this will be their first full appearances and absolutely one to get.
Then there is Star Wars: The Mandalorian #7 which will be the first comic appearance of Moff Gideon.
Big week. Nearly every issue can be considered a key. That doesn’t mean theat the value will reflect that right away or anything but they are keys nonetheless.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 11/21/22 this week.
