Hello there my wookiee brothers and sisters! Let’s take a look at all of the New Star Wars comics hitting the shelves on Wednesday, November 23th and Star Wars comics with a Final Order Cutoff deadline this upcoming Monday, November 21st, 2022.
My personal favorite of the week is Star Wars: Revelations #1. Revelations is a one-shot comic by Mac Guggenheim that is being hyped up hard by publishers as a “must-see issue” that will tease the future of Star Wars comics. To me it’s essentially going to set up (and potentially announce) new comic series and mini-series for 2023.
Based on the art preview we got a few weeks ago we already know that its going to include Iden Versio and the Inferno Squad. While they appeared in one panel of Star Wars Hidden Empire #1 I think that Revelations will be their first “full appearance” and will potentially set up a larger story for them.
And we’re getting an ancient droid character who seems like he (she?) will be a big deal.
Another interesting title hitting shelves next week is Star Wars Yoda #1. First off, it’s the first issue of a 10 part run so we’re likely going to get new characters in it. Also given that this first issue will be set in the The High Republic era (before the events of phase I) it’s almost certain that there will be first appearances. No clue on if they will be important or not but they’ll be there.
We’re also getting the the 2nd print of The High Republic #1, the 2nd print of Star Wars; Visions #1the 3rd issue of Star Wars Hyperspace Stories by Darkhorse Comics, Han Solo and Chewbacca Vol 1 trade paperback, and a brand spanking new adult High Republic Novel in Star Wars: Convergence.
(and Random House, if you are reading this, what does a wookiee have to do to get a review copy around here? Or at least tell me no for void’s sake)
Should be a fun week. Let’s just hope the stories are as good as the speculation.

The next adventure in the High Republic begins expanding the new era of Star Wars, with a story set generations before Light of the Jedi.

The last hope for peace emerges when heirs from the two planets’ royal families plan to marry.

To save both worlds, Jedi Knight Gella Nattai volunteers to uncover the culprit, while Chancellor Kyong appoints her son, Axel Greylark, to represent the Republic’s interests in the investigation.
But Axel’s deep distrust of the Jedi sparks against Gella’s faith in the Force. She’s never met such a puffed-up, privileged party boy, and he’s never met a more self-serious, relentless do-gooder. The more they work to untangle the shadowy web of the investigation, the more complicated the conspiracy appears to be. With accusations flying and potential enemies in every shadow, the pair will have to work together to have any hope of bringing the truth to light and saving both worlds.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 11/21/22 this week.
