Still playing a little catch up here from the spades and spades of newsfrom Toy Fair New York this weekend. This will probably take me the rest of the week to dump all the info onto the blog for everybody’s perusal and reference. This is your comprehensive Day 3 NECA Toy Fair wrap up!
NECA had brand new and re-issued (updated) 8 inch clothed figures from Jaws, They Live, Scream, and Hatchet to show off. Probably the nicest little nugget of news is that both of the Jaws 8 inch figures will get an in-scale companion shark later this year!
The Toony Terrors line appears to be well-received by all accounts and it continues with Series 4 including Regan (Exorcist), Sam ( Trick ‘r Treat), Victor Crowley (Hatchet), and Beetlejuice (Beetlejuice).
These low-articulation toony figures are now being expanded into non-horror properties with Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Bob Ross with Peapod!
The Lost Tribe Predators from Predator 2 are getting the 7 inch Ultimate treatment for their anniversary and so are Brett, Parker, and Bloody Big Chap from Alien.
We, of course can’t forget the launch of a new 1/4 scale TMNT line with the Cartoon Raphael figure heralding the release of the whole team (we assume).
Finally, we’ve got new 12″ Kaiju coming! Two Godzillas!

Alien 40th Anniversary Ultimate 7 Inch Figures

Released to theaters in 1979, Alien became one of the most successful films of the year and has since grown to be a timeless sci-fi classic. To celebrate the film’s 40th Anniversary, NECA is releasing an ongoing series comprising of new releases all year long, with at least 9 different Limited Edition action figures to collect. Each release will be a limited production run so act quickly!

The Scout Predator is given an upgrade with an all new body loaded with articulation, an assortment of interchangeable hands, and two heads, one of which is a brand new unmasked head.
