Alright, wooks, it’s time to fire up those lightsabers and to start ignoring problem signs within the order because… Marvel just dropped some major news at New York Comic Con 2024, announcing a brand-new comic series that will take us back to the prequel era of the Jedi Order: Star Wars: Jedi Knights!
Star Wars: Jedi Knights
This ongoing series, launching in March 2025, is set to shine a light on the guardians of peace and justice like we’ve never seen them before.

Helming the series is none other than Emmy Award-winning writer Marc Guggenheim (Star Wars: Han Solo & Chewbacca, Star Wars: Yoda), teaming up with rising star artist Madibek Musabekov (X-Men Red).
These two are about to deliver a Jedi-packed, lightsaber-swinging, action-filled ride, and honestly, I’m a big Guggenheim guy, so I mess with this.
What’s the Deal with Jedi Knights?
Set before The Phantom Menace, this series will explore the Jedi Order at its peak, featuring the legendary characters we all know and love—Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Mace Windu, and even Count Dooku (before he became a dick).
But that’s not all! Each issue will introduce brand-new Jedi, putting the spotlight on duos embarking on dangerous missions across the galaxy.

The kicker? There’s an overarching mystery that’s about to shake things up. A new villain emerges, targeting none other than Qui-Gon Jinn himself (seriously, fella needs a raise). This threat will push the Jedi to their limits and force the Order to adapt for a new age. Honestly, this sounds fantastic.
Lightsabers Go Brrrrr… Covers Go Hard
If you’ve been itching for some serious lightsaber battles, then Jedi Knights is going to be your new favorite series. Editor Mark Paniccia promises “blockbuster action” and “more lightsaber duels than you’ve ever seen in a comic.”
So, yeah, get ready for a ton of Jedi nearly crossing the line packed into every single issue.
The first issue is already turning heads, with a cover by Rahzzah and a Lightsaber Foil Variant by Taurin Clarke. I’m a big fat sucker for foil covers. If there’s a mark here… it’s me.
When and Where to Get It
Star Wars: Jedi Knights #1 is set to hit shelves in March 2025, and you can pre-order it from your local comic shop or TFAW here.
That’s all. Had to do this one quickly. Have my son’s soccer game tonight. Gonna go watch him wreck some kids.
