Hello and good day everywookiee! This morning StarWars.com dropped the exclusive preview for next week’s issue of Star Wars Doctor Aphra #25. Last month’s issue, Doctor Aphra #24, caused quite a fuss when some alcohol-themed wookiee website shared that it was the first appearance of a Sith group called the Darkseekers so I am excited to see how the story plays out.
In the preview author Alyssa “Crash” Wong provides a little more backstory on the anime-looking sword that Aphra pulled out of some stump on on Crimson Dawn’s flagship, The Vermillion.
This weapon was billed as a weapon to kill Sith and now we see why… it temporarily disables lightsabers. So… in theory someone who has all of the Ascendant Technology, the Spark Eternal, and the “null sword” would at least have an even playing field with the Sith.
Though I think we’ll find out soon enough that the Sith’s natural connection to The Force will always outweigh anything Miril or the Ascendant could ever create.
It also appears that Doctor Aphra #25 will also feature Sana Starros heavily as she is on both Cover A and Cover B and is mentioned in the preview. It was recently announced that Sana Starros is getting her own self-titled Comic series in February 2022.
Should be a ton of fun.
