And now for some news from our refined European friends over at Jedi-Bibliothek.de! Panini reprints collected editions of issues from the Marvel Star Wars comics into German translated editions and usually has a cool variant every now and then. This was the case for Star Wars #75 that received a 75 copy foil variant celebrating 75 issues and showing John Cassaday art from War of the Bounty Hunters.
Their Star Wars #80 will receive a special wraparound cover featuring the art of Ario Anindito’s double-page spread from the U.S. High Republic #8. This image was previously used for the second print of High Republic #8, but only half of it, robbing Reath Silas of his first comic cover appearance!
Now, PaniniShop.de is offering an exclusive variant cover to Star Wars #80, collecting High Republic #6 and 7, featuring the full two-page spread in a wraparound cover. This German release is limited to 666 copies. It releases March 23, 2022.
You can see Reath poking out just above the trade dress:
For those Germans who subscribe to the expanded Official Star Wars Magazine called The Journal of the Whills, they will receive a special Peach Momoko variant as a subscription gift. This cover was already used in the United States:
“All subscribers to the Journal of the Whills , the expanded edition of the Official Star Wars Magazine , can also look forward to a Peach Momoko variant cover , which will be sent as a subscription gift with issue #105. The motif has already been used in the USA.” –Jedi-Bibliothek.de
