Back in October 2024, at New York Comic Con, Marvel Comics and Lucasfilm announced an exciting new ongoing Star Wars comic series, Star Wars: Jedi Knights, written by Marc Guggenheim with art by Madibek Musabekov.
Set to kick off in March 2025, this series takes us to a galaxy far, far away before the events of The Phantom Menace, offering fans a fresh glimpse into the Jedi Order during a time of peace, though danger is never far behind.
Unlike many Star Wars tales that center around a single protagonist, Jedi Knights takes a unique approach, spotlighting a different Jedi duo in every issue as they navigate diverse missions across the galaxy. While each issue stands alone as a thrilling chapter, an overarching mystery ties the series together, teasing a dark threat that looms over the Jedi Order.
Longtime fans will be especially intrigued by the debut of Atha Prime, a villain with roots in unused Return of the Jedi concept art and a fascinating connection to Star Wars’ toy history. First envisioned for an unreleased 1980s Kenner line, Atha Prime is now making his official canon debut in Issue #1!
