Well this is interesting, wooks… Dark Horse Comics is bringing you a new one-shot comic, Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Phase III – The Wedding Spectacular, this December, for the long-awaited wedding of Lula Talisola and Zeen Mrala.

This special issue comes from the creative team of Daniel José Older, artists Harvey Tolibao, Toni Bruno, Nick Brokenshire, and more, with colors by Michael Atiyeh and lettering by Comicraft.
The story centers on Lula and Zeen, two young freedom fighters who’ve been at the forefront of the battle against the Nihil. As they prepare to exchange vows, the situation around them remains tense, with the battle on Eriadu looming large.
A Wedding Amidst the Chaos: I’m not sure how invested I am in this storyline but in-universe the wedding is a major event, drawing friends (mainly other Jedi) and (found) family from across the galaxy.
However, given the ongoing conflict, this isn’t going your typical peaceful ceremony. It will 100% get crashed by the Nihil.

I’ve liked the art and some of the character development from the Phase III run of High Republic adventures but I still think that we’re focusing far too much on Lula and Zeen’s relationship. I understand that some people love this kind of stuff but I’m just much more interested in the big picture conflict than these two getting married.
Regardless, I’ll read it and I’m sure it will be a good time.
