This is the 2nd to last issue in Charles Soule’s main Star Wars run that kicked off in 2020. I’ve enjoyed this series. It’s had it’s ups and downs but adds a ton of great lore about the Rebellion and Luke Skywalker’s training. That being said I find myself more interested lately in what’s coming next than what happens in this series. It’s not a knock on the current stories but rather just excitement based on something new.
The final 2 issues should largely be around bringing together all of the storylines introduced the last few years and character development of Luke and Leia. I know the Battle of Jakku series is the next big thing but Charles Soule has hinted at a new series coming next year and I expect it to be focused on Jedi Luke training Padawan Leia.
Issue 50 should be a good one too. It’s giant sized (64 pages) and the cover art is fire. You can see the covers for both Star Wars #50 and Star Wars: Darth Vader #50 here.
