Star Wars: Crimson Reign Plot Overview
Star Wars: Crimson Reign is one of the bigger crossover events in Marvel Comics’ Star Wars universe, set between the events of “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi.”
The story centers on the rise of the criminal syndicate Crimson Dawn, led by Qi’ra. Having survived the fall of the Empire, Darth Mauls tutelage, and the chaos that followed, Qi’ra re-emerges as a powerful figure in the galaxy’s underworld, seeking to reshape the balance of power.
The series explores her ambitions and strategies as she orchestrates a complex scheme to take down the Empire that involves the Rebel Alliance, various criminal organizations, Doctor Aphra, The Knights of Ren, and a network of her own spies within Empire.
While the War of the Bounty Hunters served as Qi’ra’s grand (re)entrance into the galaxies powerful elite, Crimson Reign gives more details into Crimson Dawn and why Qi’ra is desperately searching for something called the Fermatta Cage.
It’s a fun crossover event. I liked War of the Bounty Hunters more but it’s worth the read imo.
That’s all for right now but I should have some more posts coming up later today and tomorrow.
