New Star Wars Comics and Books Coming Out Next Week
Star Wars: Darth Maul – Black, White, and Red #4 by Greg Pak, Luca Pizzari, and Will Sliney – Based on cover A it looks like Palpatine sends Darth Maul to ancient Jedi temple on a snowy planet. My guess is that this will be Ilum and that Maul will face some sort of challenge in the hidden Jedi temple under the surface that we see in the Clone Wars episode depicting The Gathering.
No idea what the conflict would be there unless it’s a Jedi. But since it’s clear this series is all about the trials that Sidious puts Maul through during his training you’d have to think there is some sort of fight coming. I absolutely love the cover A by E.M. Gist and the 1:25 Marquez variant.

Star Wars Legends: Tales of the Jedi Omnibus From Marvel Comics – This omnibus collects all of the Dawn of the Jedi and Tales of the Jedi comics that were published by Dark Horse Comics. It’s a must get for me because the individual issues for the included stories (and the Epic Collections) are not cheap. Here’s a cool breakdown from Omar over at Near Mint Condition if you want to see what this book will look like.
Star Wars Modern Era Epic Collection Vol. 1 Skywalker Strikes by Jason Aaron and Kieron Gillen – This epic collection collects issues #1-14 from the Star Wars 2015 run as well as the Star Wars: Vader Down, and Darth Vader #13-15 (2025). I have the omnibuses that collect these issues so I won’t be getting this but if you’re an Epic Collection collector you may want to get this because its the first time these comics have been collected in this format.
Star Wars Toys Coming In July & August 2024 – Entertainment Earth currently has 172 different Star Wars toys and collectibles listed with an ETA of July 2024. Tons of Star Wars action figures, Pops, LEGO sets, and statues coming out this month. Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, the best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 7/29/24 this week.
