We’re quickly approaching the finale of the current Marvel run of Star Wars: The High Republic. It was recently announced that issue #10 will be the finale. It was a pretty abrupt ending announcement and honestly not one I was expecting.
It’s worth noting that Marvel is in the final stages of a full refresh of Marvel Star Wars comics as the other two ongoing series at the moment both end this fall, and it’s likely that this series was a casualty of that refresh.
We know a change is coming but it is tough to tell if we’re just not getting any more Phase III High Republic comics or if something new from that era is about to be announced.
My guess is that we’ll get a new run or multiple mini-series stories to take it’s place. Phase III of the High Republic isn’t ending until at least mid-2025 and it would be odd to have no Marvel comics considering how integral comics were in the rollout.

The preview shows our dream team of Tey Sirrek, Sskeer, Lourna Dee, Keeve Trennis, Terec, Ceret, and Orbalin attack Baron Boolin’s laboratory to save a powerful force-sensitive Yacombe girl before Boolin and his cronies torture and brainwash her into being a Child of the Storm.
I have not read it yet but based on this tweet from the homies over at @swspashpage, it seems something significant happens.
