Let’s take a look at all Star Wars comics and books scheduled to be released next week on July 2nd-3rd, 2024 as well as every Star Wars comic or book with a final order cutoff deadline this upcoming Monday, July 1st.
Queue the fireworks…
Star Wars: Inquisitors by Rodney Barnes and Ramon Rosanas– This is the first issue of a 4-issue mini-series that revolves around the Inquisitors hunting an Order 66 survivor named Tensu Run. Tensu Run is a new jedi created for this series so this issue will be their first comic appearance as well. I’m nearly certain we’ll also be getting Tensu Run’s master from the Jedi order in this series based on the solicits for later issues. Not sure if they’ll be in #1 or not thought.
I’m excited about this one. Mainly because I love that we’re getting force users fighting each other. It will be interesting to see if Tensu Run makes it out of this series because the writer, Rodney Barnes, has a lot of experience writing for TV.

Star Wars Legends – The New Republic Vol. #1 Omnibus – This omnibus is a bigger deal than most as it collects the entire original Thrawn trilogy (Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command) Dark Horse comics and all three instalments of the Star Wars: Dark Empire Trilogy. Meaning the stories told in this book are some of the most popular Star Wars stories of all time outside of the movies and TV shows. Plus the Thrawn comics can be pretty pricy in other formats.

Star Wars: The High Republic #9 by Cavan Scott and Lauren Braga – We’re quickly approaching the finale of the current Marvel run of Star Wars: The High Republic. It was recently annoucned that issue #10 will be the finale. It was a pretty abrupt ending announcement and honestly not one I was expecting. It’s worth noting that Marvel is in the final stages of a full refresh of Marvel Star Wars comics as the other two ongoing series at the moment both end this fall, and it’s likely that this series was a casualty of that refresh. Tough to tell if we’re just not getting any more Phase III High Republic comics or if something new from that era is about to be announced.
My guess is that we’ll get a new run or multiple mini-series stories to take it’s place. Because Phase III of the High Republic isn’t ending until at least mid-2025 and it would be odd to have no Marvel comics considering how integral comics were in the roll out.
Star Wars Toys Coming In July 2024 – Entertainment Earth currently has 172 different Star Wars toys and collectibles listed with an ETA of July 2024. Tons of Star Wars action figures, Pops, LEGO sets, and statues coming out this month. Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, the best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 7/01/24 this week.
