Yesterday afternoon a new retailer exclusive variant for Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 #7 by Mico Suayan was announced. It will be sold by 616 Comics, Unknown Comics, and their partners with the pre-sale set to kick off on Monday, November 27 at 6:00 P.M. ET.
There will be a trade dress variant that is limited to 3,000 and a virgin variant that is limited to 1,000.
This will be the first cover that actually has Pedro Pascal’s face unmasked on any Star Wars: The Mandalorian comic. I don’t think that makes this a big key or anything but it could be something that signature hunters covet if they want Pedro’s likeness on a cover with his signature.

And considering Pedro doesn’t show his face at all in Season 3 and may not be available for many in-person shoots for Season 4 due to his involvement in Gladiator 2 and The Last of Us Season 2, it’s entirely possible, if not likely, that this variant (and possibly an exclusive variant for Season 2 issue #8) could be the only cover with his face on it for at least a few years.
