Looking like a super fun week next week for Star Wars Comics as we are getting THREE new comics. Here’s what to expect from a to hit your favorite comics shop next Wednesday, May 29, 2023.
Star Wars: The High Republic – The Blade #4 by Charles Soule. This is the final part and conclusion of the 4-part mini-series featuring Porter Engle and his sister Barash Silvain. In the most recent episode of The High Republic show on Youtube we got a few page preview of the issue where General Viess reveals that she’s a Jedi killer.
She’s killed Jedi and is confident that she can take down Porter. While we know she is delusional there I am interested to find out why she is such a threat to some of the best warriors in the galaxy. Could she be a force user? Or is she trained in other forms of content designed to fight force users? I’m really looking forward to the battle.
Star Wars: The High Republic #7 by Cavan Scott. Based on the preview image below, we know the Jedi, members of the Path of the Open Hand, and some Jedha citizens, are holed up inside the bar, Enlightenment. There they will be attacked by a darkside force religious group called the Brotherhood of the 9th Door. These fellas are also in the Battle of Jedha audio drama by George Mann.
Lastly we’re also getting Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Jabba’s Palace #1. This issue will introduce a new character named Silvan Kaan.

Star Wars Comic Book FOC Deadlines
For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 3/27/23 this week.
