Cover For Star Wars: High Republic Adventures - The Nameless Terror #2

One of the comic series that I was most looking forward to reading for phase II of The High Republic was the 4 part series by author George Mann and Dark Horse Comics, Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – The Nameless Terror.

Earlier today, thanks to access to a time machine, I was able to get a look at issue #1 which comes out in a few days on February 22, 2023. If you haven’t pre-ordered it yet you can do that here.

First impressions of the book? I’m impressed. Dark Horse slapped on a really nice card stock cover that we rarely see used on Star Wars comics anymore. Shout out to them for doing that. Felt really nice in my hands reading it.

And yes, I’ve read it. And while I’ll do a full review soon know that this was super fun and probably my favorite Star Wars comic that Dark Horse has done since they got the all-ages contract (IDW had it before) last year to start doing stories in a galaxy far far away again.

Are there first appearances? Yes, it’s The High Republic, of course there are. Most of which were actually in the official preview for the issue that was released a few weeks back.

While the cover art for issue #2 has not been officially revealed by Dark Horse, issue #1 showed us the cover art by Ornella Savarese on the final page.

Looks good to me. One thing though… while the image above says “On sale in March,” Star Wars: High Republic Adventures – The Nameless Terror #2 actually comes out on April 19, 2023, per DarkHorse.com.

So we have TWO KRIFFIN’ MONTHS before we get the 2nd chapter in this story. I personally can’t wait.

You can pre-order both issues here on TFAW.com if you have not already done so.

Until next time, for light and life!
