Since Iden Versio and Inferno Squad were teased on the cover of the “Revelations” variant of Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #28 and in a single panel in Star Wars: Hidden Empire #1 (they also appeared in a single panel in Star Wars: Revelations #1 but Hidden Empire was first) I had been waiting for them to be a big part of an upcoming arc.
If you don’t know who Inferno Squad is just know they were the Empire’s Elite special ops squad that starred in the popular Battlefront video games.
It looks like we’re getting that with Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #32. About a week or so ago I noticed that there was a variant on TFAW listed as the “Inferno Squad First Appearance Variant.”
At the time there was no cover art for the book yet but today that changed. You can pre-order from TFAW here.
Check out this beauty.

Not only do you get the first cover appearances of two other members of the Inferno Squad, Gideon Hask and Del Meeko, the publishers description implies that they will actually be included in the new Bounty Hunters Arc.
“Zuckuss is teetering between life and death… A mysterious event has put the Gand bounty hunter in a deep coma reliving his past. Can T’onga and 4-LOM save Zuckuss before his mind is lost? And before the Empire’s most lethal unit hunting Valance catches up to them…”
I’m a huge fan of introducing these characters to give T’onga an her crew new purpose and a new direction to take instead of fighting random syndicate thugs or Storm Troopers.
You can check out the rest of the variants for this issue (and many more) here on the Star Wars: Hidden Empire Variant Checklist.
EDIT (2/6/2023): I’d like to point out that this subtitle appeared on Bounty Hunters #31 after FOC:
So, don’t get caught by surprise if Bounty Hunters 31 has Inferno Squad’s first full appearance.
That’s all for now.
This is the way.
