PREVIEW: The Empire Looks Good on Luke Skywalker in Star Wars 28

Star Wars Visions #1 (2022)

Star Wars #28 by Charles Soule and drawn by Andrés Genolet hits stores next week, October 12th, and today we got the exclusive preview.

In my opinion this has been a fantastic few issues from Soule. Having Qi’ra’s nephews be Imperial Detractors who escaped from the Death Star with key intel on how to destroy it is such a high stakes route to take. I love it when comic authors take big swings and I think Charles is doing that here.

I am very interested in the two kids that were names in Star Wars #27. They’ve been oddly featured through the last few issues which make me think their parents don’t fare too well… and that drives them to join the New Republic. After Luke rescue’s them of course.

Also cover A by E.M. Gist is beautiful. He needs to do an entire run.

So check out the preview, get your pre-orders in, and I’ll see you in 7 days to talk about key moments in the story.
