Hi there everywookiee! Consider this checklist post your home base for the upcoming Star Wars: Yoda comic series.
Star Wars: Yoda is a 10 part comic mini series from Marvel Comics that takes place during Yoda’s time on Dagobah during the original trilogy. But most of the stories will be in the past as Yoda remembers all of the events that lead him to where he is just before Luke seeks him out. Within the 10 issues there will be three separate three issue arcs each with their own creative team. Each arc will take place in a different era and since since Yoda is over 800 years old in Empire Strikes Back, there gives the authors a lot of room to play with.
The first arc of Star Wars: Yoda, written by Cavan Scott and illustrated by Nico Leon. will be during The High Republic era.
The second arc, set just before the prequel trilogy era, will be penned by Jody Houser and illustrated by Luke Ross.
And the third will be handled by Han Solo & Chewbacca author Marc Guggenheim and artist Alessandro Miracolo. The final arc will take place near the end of the Clone Wars just before Yoda goes into exile.
Since this is the first ever solo comic series I expect a ton of buzz around this. And when there is buzz you usually get a bunch of fun variants and store exclusives.
