First Cover Appearance of Miril on Star Wars Doctor Aphra #24 and A Little Speculation

So earlier today I posted my weekly post with the new Star Wars comics for next week and which Star Wars comics have their final order cutoff for retailers to order copies.

One of the comics with an FOC this Monday is Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #24.

The more I thought about it, from a speculation standpoint, the more I got interested in Doctor Aphra #24 cover A by Scott Forbes.

This is for two reasons:

#1. It’s the first cover appearance of Miril. Miril was a member of the Ascendant and was the Spark Eternal’s last host (before Aphra) who first appeared in Doctor Aphra #22. During an attack by the Sith she sacrificed herself to keep the Sith from getting their hands on the Spark Eternal. It appears Spark and Aphra are going to dive back into a memory and relive (or possible change?) that final encounter with the Sith.

#2. The cover also includes 5 presumed Sith. Nothing is concrete but any cover that has red lightsabers on it from unknown characters is something I pay attention to. Could be nameless characters but the potential of getting a new named Sith or the first of a known Sith from either legends or canon make it worth keeping an eye on. While none are likely identifiable on the cover it’s logical to assume some fight with the Sith will be in the issue.

REMINDER: The final order cutoff is Monday. So if you wanted to lock in your pre-orders now is the time to do so.

NOTE: The Sith speculation is just that… speculation. I have no idea if we;re going to get any significant firsts in the story. I just think the possibility is interesting.
