Hola! I come with great news. Earlier today it was announced that THREE new Marvel Star Wars Omnibuses are coming out this year.
As a man who loves himself some collected editions and prefers reading comics that way (aside from new issues, not waiting a year to read anything) I’m really fired up about this.
Also want to give credit where credit is due. This news was broke earlier today by the Youtube channel, Near Minute Condition. You can check out his video below. I love his content so it’s worth a subscribe as well if you read collected edition comics.

Star Wars Doctor Aphra Vol 2 Omnibus | May 2023
Collects Doctor Aphra (2020) issues #1-25
My Take: First off, yeah I’m going to buy this. I love Aphra. I love that she’s a character that was created just for the comics and has become one of the longest tenured featured comic characters of all canon comics. It’s only a matter of time before she’s on screen.
But the big takeaway here is that volume II is currently still going. To me this means that the October issue of Star Wars Doctor Aphra #25 will likely be the final Doctor Aphra titled issue of this run and maybe the final ever.
Star Wars Legends: The Empire Vol 2. | May 2023
Collects Star Wars: Dark Times – Fire Carrier (203) 1-5, Star Wars Dark Times – A Spark Remains 10-5, Star Wars Darth Vader and the Ninth Assassin 1-5, Darth Vader and the Cry of Shadows 1-5, Star Wars Droids Special (1995) 1, Star Wars Droids (1994) 1-6, Star Wars Droids (1995) 1-8, Star Wars The Protocol Offensive 1, and material from a bunch of misc. sources.
My Take: That’s a lot of Droids. I know people who very much enjoyed those stories so it’s a great thing too. I’m personally much more interested in the other two in this announcement but this is still very cool.
Star Wars Legends The New Republic Vol 2. | July 2023
This editions collects Star Wars: The Jabba Tape, Star Wars: Heir to the Empire, Star Wars: Dark Force Rising, Star Wars The Last Command, Star Wars Dark Empire, Star Wars Dark Empire II, Star Wars Empires End, Star Wars boba Fett Twin Engines of Destruction, Star Wars: Boba Fett Bounty on Bar-Kooda, Star Wars: Boba Fett When The Fat Lady Swings, Strat Wars Bobsa Fett Murder Most Foul, Star Wars Boba Fett Agent of Doom, Star Wars Handbook (1998), and Material from Star Wars: Tales.
My Take: In my opinion this will be the most sought after omnibus until they announce Star Wars The Clone Wars Vol. 1. A rule of thumb with collected is that if the single issues are hard to get the Trade Paperback will be popular. If the Trade Paperback gets expensive the Epic Collection that includes it will be popular. If the Epic Collection gets expensive then so will the omnibus.
Well the Star Wars Legends Epic Collection The New Republic Vol 4 includes the entire Heir to the Empire trilogy and are almost impossible to find under a few hundred dollars. Volume 5 that collects the Dark Empire runs is not much different. So in terms of speculation this is about as good as it gets.
